Here are All the Details for the 50th Reunion of the Class of 1971 – including all the Pre-and-Post Reunion Activities.
The Reunion will be Saturday, August 21, and special events are planned for Wednesday, August 18, through Sunday, August 22.
This will likely be the last major Reunion for just the Class of 1971 - so please join us!

THE MAIN EVENT - 50th HIGH SCHOOL REUNION - JONATHAN LAW CLASS OF 1971
SATURDAY, August 21, 2021
TIME: 6:30pm to 10:30pm
WHERE: River View Bistro, 946 Ferry Boulevard, Stratford, CT 06615 (on the other side of the Devon bridge where Fagan's used to be)
VENUE INFO: Buffet, No Host Bar, Indoor and Outdoor (a tent with fans will be available outside)
ATTIRE: Casual (black and gold optional)
PLEASE NOTE: The 50th Reunion is for the Class of 1971 only. NO WALK-INS can be accommodated at the Reunion venue.
COST: $50.00 Per Person
PAYMENT INFO: Debi Miller is receiving and depositing checks for the reunion. Please make your check out to Debi Miller, put "JLHS71" on the memo line of the check, and also include your email so Debi can let you know that she has received your check. PAYMENT DUE DATE: Checks need to be received by AUGUST 1, 2021 (at the very latest). We need to give the restaurant a person count - so please send in your check as soon as you can!
PRE-AND-POST REUNION EVENTS
WEDNESDAY, August 19, 2021 (Note: this is a new date, due to the Mayor’s schedule)
Ben Blake, Mayor of Milford, will read the PROCLAMATION that the Jonathan Law High School Class of 1971 is celebrating our 50th Anniversary of Graduation! The Proclamation will be read out loud on the steps of Milford City Hall (or inside in the case of rain).
WHERE: Milford City Hall, 110 River Street, Milford, CT 06460
TIME: 11:00am
If you are in Milford on Wednesday, please join us in attending this ceremony for the JLHS Class of 1971. It will also be a great time to check out Downtown Milford!
FRIDAY, August 20, 2021: Pre-Event Meet and Greet at Joey C's Boathouse
TIME: 6:00pm to 10:00pm
WHERE: The Dock Shopping Center, 955 Ferry Boulevard, Stratford, CT 06615 (same place as the 45th Reunion)
MORE INFO: We will have a private room that opens to the patio (Inside/Outside), Cash Bar, Appetizer Buffet (nominal charge to be determined)

FRIDAY, August 20, 2021: Update on JLHS School Tour
JLHS will not be open during the summer, so we won't be able to have a tour of the school.
SATURDAY, August 21, 2021: The Milford Oyster Festival (FYI)
TIME: 10:00am to 5:00pm
WHERE: Milford Green and Fowler Field
MORE INFO: Entertainment is Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes
SUNDAY, August 22, 2021: Silver Sands State Park (yes, it really is a State Park now)
TIME: 8:30am to 10:30am
WHERE: On the grassy area by the Animal Shelter (look for black and gold decorations)
MORE INFO: Bring your own coffee and donuts, check out the State Park facilities, and stay for the beach.
FEES: No charge for cars with Connecticut license plates; $22.00 for Out of State license plates.
SUNDAY, August 22, 2021 - Walnut Beach Live Music Concert (FYI)
TIME: 4:00pm to 7:00pm (under the Pavilion)
LIVE MUSIC: The Kathy Thompson Band
HOTEL INFORMATION
We have negotiated a rate of $105.00 per night, not including tax, at the Spring Hill Suites by Marriott in Milford (contact information below) for people interested in staying there.
The hotel is holding a block of rooms for the JLHS Class of 1971 Reunion. The nights are Thursday 8/19, Friday 8/20, Saturday 8/21, and Sunday 8/22. The special rate will apply for any night. If you want additional nights, please talk to the hotel directly. For this special rate, call the hotel directly to book the room (1 King bed or 2 Double beds). You can also book online using the JLHS Class of 1971 Reunion as the discount code. It is a great hotel with an indoor pool, fitness room, and breakfast included.

CURRENT COVID INFORMATION
At the time of the Reunion, we will follow whatever COVID rules are in place for the various venues, including River View Bistro and Joey C's, regarding face masks and any other requirements.
The State of Connecticut has lifted all COVID Restrictions effective May 19, 2021, although establishments can still require face masks. No face masks are currently required outside.
For both River View Bistro and Joey C’s, if you are fully vaccinated, as of now, no masks are required. If you are NOT vaccinated, you MUST wear a mask.
Note: This is fairly standard for the State of Connecticut. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask at any time, that is your personal choice.
ALSO, please remember we will have an outside tent with fans available at River View Bistro for the Reunion, in addition to inside seating.
